Get It Straight Orthodontics Establishes Local Chapter of National Charity Smile for A Lifetime in Rochester NY and Surrounding Areas
Rochester NY orthodontists are the first orthodontic practice in New York State to open a local chapter of the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation, a charity that aims to provide free orthodontic care to people who are ineligible for financial assistance.

ROCHESTER, NY, January 22, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rochester NY orthodontists Dr Terry Giangreco, Dr Janis Preston, and Dr Suzanne Cassata at Get-It-Straight Orthodontics established New York State's very first chapter of the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation.

Smile for a Lifetime Foundation is a charitable organization that provides quality orthodontic services for patients who do not qualify for assistance and find it impossible to acquire a beautiful, straight smile without financial support.

The organization was created in 2008 and its headquarters are based in Colorado Springs, CO. This non-profit organization aims to boost self-esteem, motivate, and change the lives of children in our communities together with the services of local orthodontists throughout the United States.

Believing that a healthy smile is poignant enough to change a person's outlook and improve their life as a whole, this organization faithfully serves the community through the gift of smile.

The Smile for a Lifetime Foundation further aims to provide orthodontists with the training and resources essential to building a local Board of Directors that will determine which patients are qualified for orthodontic treatment. The Board of Directors is composed of dental and medical colleagues including school administrators and other members of the community.

Since 2008, Smile for a Lifetime has reached and sponsored less-fortunate citizens who need orthodontic care, and the organization has treated hundreds of patients in each of its first three years.

The Board of Directors in your local chapter decides which patients qualify for orthodontic treatment. If you need orthodontic treatment as well as financial support, please review the requirements and apply. We accept applications from organizations, school areas, dentists and recommendations from leaders, teachers, and other mentors.

If you are interested in applying for the Smile for a Lifetime gift of smile from Get-It-Straight Orthodontics, you must be a resident of Wayne County, Monroe County, or Ontario County. To apply for the Smile for a Lifetime privilege, you must provide three things:

1) Smile for a Lifetime Foundation Application (click to view)
2) A Letter of Recommendation
3) A photograph of the applicant's teeth

Return the filled application, letter of recommendation, and photograph to the address on the application. The Board of Directors meets quarterly for the selection and will determine the recipients of the gift of smile!
