New York Civil Rights Violation Lawyer from The Perecman Firm Condemns Firebomb Attacks on NYC Sites, Including a Mosque and Hindu Temple
New York civil rights violation lawyer David Perecman comments on the string of fire bombings in Queens that included an Islamic Center, a Hindu Temple and a bodega.

NEW YORK, NY, January 12, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The New York Police Department's Hate Crimes Unit and the Detective Squad are investigating a series of fire bombings that occurred on Sunday night, reported the New York Post (1/2/2012).

Molotov cocktails were thrown at three sites in Queens, including an Islamic mosque, a Hindu Temple and a bodega, according to the New York tabloid.

Nassau County police are also investigating a similar attack in which a bottle filled with gasoline was hurled at a house, reported the NYP.

Authorities are investigating the attacks as possible hate crimes, reported the New York Daily News (1/2/2012).

"Bigotry and hate crimes have no place in New York. Everyone has a right to feel safe in this city," said David Perecman, a New York civil rights violation lawyer with over 30 years of experience protecting victims of hate crimes and other civil rights violations.

All the alleged hate crimes in Queens occurred between 8 and 10:15 p.m. within a two-mile radius.

The mosque had up to 80 people inside at the time of the attack, said the NYDN, but there were no injuries in any of the alleged hate crime incidents.

"A hate crime in New York can be a criminal civil rights violation," said Perecman, founder of The Perecman Firm, one of New York's civil rights violation law firms. "Civil rights violations are not something the law, or the civil rights violations lawyers at my firm, take lightly."
